There are two types of people, those who love planning and those who fly by the seat of their pants. I love planning because I think you end up having a better experience with fewer surprises for most things.
God also is a planner. He is purposeful and intentional. The apostle Paul talks about how the timing of Jesus’ birth was planned. Galatians 4:4, “but when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman.” Not only was it God’s plan to send His son to die on the cross, but when He sent His Son was part of the plan as well. His timing was perfect.
God’s timing is perfect in our own lives also. I know it may not always feel like it, but God is working on something much bigger than you or I can see. He’s dealing with everyone that we come in contact with – Oh, and He’s also doing this for 7 billion people.
Not only is God dealing with the here and now, but the future as well. He knows what we will be dealing with years and decades from now. This is why we don’t fear the storms around us. We must trust Him. He knows what we need to go through now to strengthen us for bigger challenges down the road.
This is when we focus on the familiar verses of Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust God, trust His plan, and trust His timing. If you do this, He will make your paths straight.
